Hello fans!

Welcome to my blog. This is where I hope to create a dialogue with my readers who, unfortunately, I never get to meet, or talk to.

Hello Carol– I got to read your blog by reading Susan Wiggs blog, and I pressed the blue letters, and viola (sp)! I really love reading about medicine. Currently, though, I work in a school. The Lemony Snicket stuff is REALLY in the reading cirriculum! It has some extended lessons that make kids THINK about the story and how, in the same situations, they would Feel. I am glad I work with youth, so I can read what they are reading. I suppose your son has read Sharon Draper & S.E. Hinton books, too.
I will definitely read your book, and your blog

Just finished Oxygen and loved it…I was lucky enough to get an ARC. Came online to see if I could find any news about another novel…..I could not have predicted the direction Oxygen took…Wow. Great read. Thank You for your talent.

  3. Camille Clark Glascock Says:

    Congratulations, Dr. Cassella,

I’ll be picking up a copy of Oxygen soon. I can relate to med mal stress.
Hope You’ll autograph it for me at Borders in July.–Cammy

  4. Metta Rone Says:

I will be at your reading of “Oxygen” on Monday, 7/14/08, at Barnes & Noble in Houston. I just googled you at the suggestion of your mother (I play bridge with her) and I can’t wait to meet you. The reviews are wonderful (there is one in “People” magazine this week) and I am anxious to buy your book and begin reading it. Hope to get an autograph on Monday.

  5. Molly Taylor Says:

Hi, Carol, I’m Molly Taylor, Ellen’s friend, and I came to Borders in Dallas the other night but couldn’t talk to you because you were swamped with fans!
I want to congratulate you on all your good work, and you are so beautiful, with a beautiful smile just like Ellen’s!
I am overwhelmed at what you have accomplished, and I cannot wait to read your book!
Best love and light to you and your family - I pray your Mom is doing well.
    Molly

I just finished your novel, Oxygen, and listened to your radio interview.
I love that you read the first page of your book at the request of the host
because that first page pulled me in and I was not released ( like intaking
a breath..and not exhaling!)…I am an English teacher who loves her
job (American Literature to all the juniors at a girls’ private school)
and an avid reader. I written a few pieces (on our Cleveland Indian team..who..last year.. a la David v. Goliath..beat two major teams..only to have
a spot in the World Series slip away by the count of one game)…Anyways..
just want you to know that I think your writing and the voice you
promote through your protagonist is wonderful. I could not put
your book down even though, being a bit of a hypochondriac, I stay
    away from medical driven literature..

You also really schooled me in the complexity and onerous responsibility
of the anesthesiologist …never thought about it that much. Your
book also took a wild swing towards the end, one I never anticipated..and
I usually can sniff out the big surprises. So..keep writing..your blog
is also so enjoyable to read..I love what you have to say about writing
and almost gave you a standing ovation when you wrote about the
importance of books over computers..because it is a fight I
engage in every day with my students and even the administration.

Keep writing..and am looking foward to your next work. I have no
idea how you can be a mother to two sets a twins and accomplish
all of this. I am surrounded by papers to grade every moment of my
life..except in the summer (when I am writing recommendations)..
and get up to run at 4:00 am when I am teaching..and I have
grown son..so..I am in awe of your ability to manage so much..

    Sincerely,

    Wendy Bihuniak
